Topics are like “lessons within lessons”. They appear as a subset of a lesson, and can be used to go through subject matter in detail. For example:
Why You Might Not Need Topics
Topics encourage a level of detail that isn’t always appropriate for online learning. Consider whether the course material could be presented as lessons, without the need for topics. Section headings can help with this.
However, for longer and more complex courses, topics will be required – and that’s okay too.
Creating Topics
Everything about a topic works in the same way as a lesson.
Remember when you’re creating a topic (as with all the content you create), once you’ve finished use the “View Topic” link to see the page as a learner would see it. This helps you spot any errors.
