Supervision of new financial mentors is a vital component in their growth and learning. Guiding the learning journey is a critical aspect of professional development within an organisation. It involves providing guidance, support, and resources to help the financial mentor acquire new skills and knowledge that align with their role and career goals.

This course builds on the Supervision Professional Development courses.

Aim of Module

To revise and extend thinking and planning from the learning in Supervision training.

Who is this course for?

Supervisors who have completed Supervision modules one and two and would like to:

  • extend their understanding of facilitating a learning journey; and
  • extend their supervision knowledge and skills.

What will you learn?

At the completion of this course you will have explored:

  • how to facilitate a learning journey
  • types of reflective practice
  • giving feedback and the STAR method
  • critical thinking
  • addressing issues through courageous conversations; and
  • managing stress.

Module Timeframe

It is expected that this course will take two to three hours to complete.
