The Financial Capability Coaching Course is for those wishing to learn the skills and knowledge required to serve their community as an effective financial coach.

This is module nine.

Aim of Module

This module identifies options that allow financial coaches to work with clients to develop a money management plan that aligns with the goals and strengths of the client.

This module also reviews key concepts in the Client Lifecyle by reviewing what it means to mentor a client.

What will you learn?

At the completion of this module, trainees will understand:

  • Money Management Systems to help clients manage their finances; and
  • what it means to coach a client to financial capability.

Trainees will also be introduced to options that can be used to help clients implement the changes required to fix not only their immediate financial issues, but to make these changes sustainable into the future.

Module Timeframe

It is expected that this module will take three to five hours to complete depending on your individual pace and which topics you find challenging. There is also assignments to complete that will take approximately two hours. If you have any questions regarding the content of this module or the course, please contact your facilitator.

Prior to starting this module, you must have completed the following modules and their associated assignment questions.  You must have had your assignment questions marked by your course facilitator (and completed any follow up actions) prior to moving onto the next module:

  • Module 5 – Case Study 1: Creating the Budget and Debt Schedule

  • Module 7 – Case Study 2: Identifying Debt Solutions
  • Module 8 – Case Study 2: Creating a Cashflow
