Inclusive Practice

Inclusive practice ensures that every client can access and benefit from financial mentoring, regardless of their background or circumstances. This means creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgemental environment; adapting communication and support to suit each client’s needs; respecting cultural, social, and personal diversity; removing barriers to participation; and actively challenging bias to support fair treatment.

As a financial mentor you will:

  • create safe and welcoming environments for all clients regardless of identity, background, or circumstances
  • use inclusive language and avoid assumptions about family structures, relationships, or lifestyle choices
  • recognise and address barriers to service access faced by marginalised communities; and
  • ensure clients with disabilities or special needs are accommodated.
