Te Whare Tapa Whā at Victim Support
In 2008, through the implementation of Te Rautaki Māori o Manaaki Tāngata Aotearoa, Victim Support adopted Te Whare Tapa Whā as the model of support and practice when working with all victims, especially Māori victims and their whānau.
Te Whare Tapa Whā is an over-arching framework that is embedded in all policies, trainings, practices and support services across Victim Support.
Te Whare Tapa Whā can be used to measure our success in ‘making a difference’ with victims and whānau while aligning to our ‘Ngā Matapono’ – values that underpin all that we do as Victim Support.
What is Te Whare Tapa Whā?
The next lessons describe Te Whare Tapa Whā so you can start to see how this applies to your work at Victim Support.
