Skill 6: Insert page breaks, headers and footers

This lesson covers page breaks, headers, footers and page numbers. This is really for the point at which you’ve created an amazing document and you’re ready to polish it, getting it ready to share.

Page numbers are obviously pretty useful for referencing things in the document – you can send people to look at page 15 (for example) and they’ll all turn to the same page. We’re going to show you how to make page numbers, but we’ll show you some tricks too. For example we’ll look at how to have a different first page (like a cover page) and different footers on even and odd pages, so the page numbers are always on the outside edge of the page – just like in books.

These skills will help bring your document another step closer to perfection.
